How I closed 9-figure entrepreneur as my client

One of my clients is an entrepreneur who built his first biz to $100,000,000+.

He’s building a community of 100+ creators who all have 50K to 6M followers.

My job is to strategise marketing campaigns and write emails for those creators.

The unusual part of this deal is…

I didn’t try to get it.

I sent no cold DMs. No cold emails. No Upwork application.

It just landed in my inbox.

So today, I want to give you the formula for closing large wealthy inbound clients.

Let's start with the first ingredient...

Getting good.

This might seem obvious, but you'd be surprised how many people forget this.

Whatever it is you do, you can’t expect to close and retain meaty clients if you’re not at least above average at what you do.

The good thing is...

So few people actually try to get good, that if you do, you'll stand out by a mile.

Fortune favours the able.

The second ingredient is...

Getting known.

This is where many copywriters fail - even the good ones.

They have great skill, but no idea how to let people know.

So what do they do?

They end up working for an Agency who does the work in getting known for them.

The way my 9-figure client came to know me was simple…

I built a personal brand.

As I built my brand, I also networked.

When I see someone who looks interesting, I drop them a DM to start a convo.

I hopped on a networking call with this 9-figure client back in November, and 6 months later, he randomly popped into my DMs:

Get good + Get known = Wealthy inbound clients

Anyone who tells you it’s more complicated than that is selling you a very expensive course.

I’ll be sharing how to get clients before you've got good in a future email.

But for today, just let me know:

Are you struggling to get good or get known?

Tatsuki

Yesterday I was lucky enough to call a paid ads guy at a Fortune 100 company. His small team spends $100,000,000+ a year on ads. He isn't legally allowed to talk with me about all this stuff, so he stayed anonymous. But you can check out my top 3 takeaways here: Tatsuki Thomas @TatsukiThomas Yesterday I called a paid ads guy at a Fortune 100 company. Their small team spends $100,000,000+/year on ads. “Sell every day in every single email.” If you're growing your list with social media content, this advice is broken. Let me explain why… This advice is pushed by the world’s greatest email marketers for good reason. Emails are free to send, so if you want to make maximum money... Sell your offer in emails everyday right? Right?? Well... This works fine if you don't just use social media to grow your list, i.e. paid ads, list swaps, SEO blogs, etc. Over time... Everyone who doesn’t want to...

A follower recently asked me: “How do I get client experience as a complete beginner.” I was a complete beginner last year AND have just taken over paid ad campaigns for a client as a complete beginner. So I know I have the answer you’re looking for. The secret lies in a principle taught to me in a small private masterclass with Ben Settle, the King of email of marketing. I call it: “Turn trash, into cash.” Let me explain… I’m a paid ads noob. I have just as much experience pole dancing as I...
